Affecting Server - Pride
Dear Clients,
At madRooster.com, we have always strived to continually improve our services so that we are able to offer the secure and reliable hosting service that you've always known us for.
As part of this continual improvement, we will be performing a major upgrade and migration on our shared and reseller hosting service platform.
As you may already be aware, the operating system that we use on our shared and reseller hosting service platform, CentOS 7, has been deemed end of life as of June 30, 2024.
Unfortunately, this necessitates a migration to a newer operating system, Rocky Linux 9, so that we are able to maintain the reliability and security of our shared and reseller hosting platform.
We will also be introducing a new storage solution on our upgraded shared and reseller hosting platform that uses NVMe solid state disks which will dramatically improve performance.
There will be no change to the cPanel control panel that you are used to. We will continue to use cPanel as our hosting control panel of choice.
However, as we will be migrating to a newer version of cPanel at the same time as the migration to a newer operating system, you may notice that some features may look different in cPanel as there has been a number of changes in cPanel over the recent months.
You do not need to take any action on your end. We will perform all the necessary migration steps to migrate all of your account data, including email accounts, FTP accounts, databases etc.
Your shared and/or reseller hosting service will be migrated to the new upgraded platform during the following maintenance window:
Start: Saturday, January 25 2024 10:00pm GMT-7/MST time
End: Sunday, January 26 2024 7:00am GMT-7/MST time
Due to the number of hosting accounts that we will be migrating during the maintenance window, please expect that your hosting account will experience 3-4 hours of downtime on average, during the above maintenance window.
We ask that you refrain from making any changes to your hosting account during the above maintenance window as these changes may be lost as part of the migration process.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
If you have any questions about the migration, please contact us via our helpdesk at: https://www.madrooster.com/portal/supporttickets.php

Alan Lam
